hey what is the average idle spped on a second gerneration. Mine varies and it idles funny. sometimes it is at 2000 and sometimes 1000. My belt was slipping and I do not have a belt on my ac so could that beit. Oh last night my alternator belt slipped off and my caar got very hot. is your water pump on the same belt? I never really let it get into the red zone and I kept the heat down so I hope it is ok.

 

Red zone.... hehe.... I believe the factory idle is supposed to be 750...
