Idle problem also I need someone to host a video (of startup) Post new fuel system.

1986 GXL with new injectors, gaskets, ported manifolds, fuel pump, regulator, PDV (pulsation damponer something..), Also new actuaters (sp*)

Other mods: straight 2.5 inch pipe from header with a small pre silencer, 2.5 back to catback 3' (dagger??)

that was recently done to the car after we found the pulsation damp'ner went bad. Decided to do it all while it was apart. Now she's all ready for her street port. But I'm having a problem with idle, I've got it lean'd all the way out (as far as I can to hold idle). When warm'd up earlier today she held idle at 1k-1.5krpm, is that normal for something with ported manifolds? Should I be upgrading my ECU as well (stock injectors 460cc). It surges up and down from 1 to 1.5k rpm, I need to know if there is anything I can do to smooth it out. Also it seems to be backfiring, sounds like a drive by, if we are going down hill in second or third..


we've tried to get it to run as best as possible. . . right now thats where we can get her to hold a decent idle.


I need a host for the vid


if someone can host the video of the semi cold startup, how it tach's high then drops off and does crazy ****, then when warm straighten's out.

the vid is 25mb from a canon powershot sd300 (pretty decent sound suprisingly)

Bump, I really need help on how to tune this car to hold a better idle or if thats normal for ported manifolds..
