idle problem

Hey I couldn't think of anything better for a topic name so I'll start with this..
The car is 100% warmed up..
Lets say I'm driving along and I need to stop abruptly(no time to gear down), so I pull in the clutch put it in to neutral and stop rapidly.. While doing this my engine RPM drops(lets say from 3rd gear 3krpm) all the way down to what looks like 100-200 on the tac (I also listened carefully and it sounds like my car almost stalls [at one point it actually stalled right before I was about to turn]) but, if I gear down like normal and do not have to brake as hard (2nd gear 1.5krpm) it never does this.. (or if I'm in my driveway in neutral and rev it to 5k then release the pedal, it drops to 750 and sticks)

Just before I came inside today I had my car idling in the driveway, whenever I would press the break in the idle would drop a little, then I tried pumping the breaks (pressing and releasing rapidly 5 times) there was a minor delay then idle dropped very low and was almost bouncing to the same rhythm that I pumped the breaks..

Anyways, any help would be appreciated! I'm still learning

Could be your master cylinder or there is air in the lines.

yea, my car does this too whenever i have to stop without downshifting, it drops to like 350, then comes back up to normal. It really doesn't bother me that much though, as long as it's running well otherwise.

Talking

Hmm... I'm not sure. Perhaps a vac leak could do this?

Cheers,
Cody
