So i finaly pulled the car out and began the work on it. i put in a new clutch, fuel filter, oil/filter, plugs n wires. everything is stock. Before i stored the car i had 2 vacuum leaks, the egr solenoid valve and the 1 right next to it. i replaced them and the vac tubes. my exhaust is complete garbage so i orderd a pacesetter ceramic and apexi n1, the air pump was removed but the stuff it was connected to is still there will that cause any issues? some1 told me to just remove it and put a block off plate. is it that simple? my problem is idle it stutters from 0-800rpm and will cut off as well. what would cause this? i thought it was vac leaks but i wasnt able to find any others, would my swiss cheesed exhaust cause this? any ideas thanks! its a 1988 n/a

yes block off any emissions that you pulled off

 

try checking the BAC and tps.

 

yea ive been reading alot of problems seem to be with the tps i will check that later. i will make a block plate and block that off asap. thanks
