idle drops then dies

Hi,
When I start my TII the idle goes up and then goes back down and the car dies.
What do you think would cause this?
I was thinking vacuum leak, but so far didnt find any.
Thanks!

Probably spark plugs. Take a look at them.

How old are the plugs? if over 15-20k mi, change them first.

Look for vac leak, either in intake or exhaust. Does the idle fluctuate at all? If so, it's most likely a vac leak somewhere.

Could it be the air flow meter? I have a na so i am not sure how the intake on the t2 works. But on the na if the air flow meter is loose the car will start up and die. Hope that helps

Here's a list of what to check,
vak leaks,
throttle cable,
vac leaks,
all connections,
idle screws,
but sounds like vac leaks also pull the plugs and turn the motor over a few times first see if ur flooded
