Idle and A.C. issues

Wuts up guys? I have a 89 gxl. I have about 83000 miles on the car. My idle is pretty low. When i first start the car in the morning sometimes it shuts off cuz it idles too low. After the car warms up it's fine but it still idles under 1000rpm. Another problem, if i turn the a.c. on and i'm stopped at a light or something the car will shut off. I spoke 2 a friend about it and he told me that i can fix it myself and i'm wondering how and if anyone would be able to give me some help.

Thanks!

Well, mazda stock factory idle is supposed to be set at 850. When you first start the car in the morning, the AWS *should* zoom you to 3000 RPM, then it should slowly settle down to 850 via the thermowax. Sounds like you may have the TB mod.

As far as idle and AC, thats a function of the BAC, and yours probably needs cleaning. You can get the FSM in the FAQ, it has DETAILED instructions on how to set your idle.
