Exclamation idle adjust - What's this screw? pic attached

Thanks to this forum, and the great posts by Josepi, Hailer, Akageals, I've adjusted my idle to a point where it doesn't die anymore.. was trying to adjust the TPS, BAC, etc..

I have an S5 '91 T2.

I must have missed something, I don't know what this Screw in pic does. When I unscrew (counter-c), it seems like it makes the idle blip higher as it's warming up.. my engine goes up and down up and down.. thoguht it was bc of lightened flywheel.
when i screwed it in, it seemed to make the blipping go away.. also brought the idle lower..
Can you tell me what this screw is called, and what it's really for? I know when you move the bracket up, it moves it so that the throttle stop screw gap is nill. I couldn't adjust mine such.. still less than 1/16 gap when I lift up. I also noticed that this screw moves the throttle plate and with TPS.. but i Don't know how the 2 TPS and this screw work together...

any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tko

That screw adjusts when and for how long the thermowax rises the idle speed for cold starts. Go to www.iluvmyrx7.com and download the EFI chapter of the Factory Service Manual (plus any other chapters you might want). Go to page F2-35 and read how to set this screw.
