Idle Adjust Thread Size

I was a moron and lost the nut to my idle adjust screw. I realize I could get another, but I was hoping to get a longer screw as well since its the only way I will be controlling idle and its just barely long enough.

Anyone know the thread size of the idle screw?

Thanks for the person with such obscure knowledge.

I measured the rod at 4.75mm diameter, so I am assuming thats an M5.

Available thread pitch from McMaster is .5 and .8 mm.

The .8 is extremely cheap, the .5 is some $35.

If its actually a M4, the sizes are .5 and .7, prices are pretty similar.

After going to lowes I confirmed that the size is M5. The threading matched up with the M3 x .5 so I am suspecting that its M5 x .5.

Fun.

Interesting thread. I've got a JDM S5 13B. The N374 BAC and UIM have nothing for the idle adjust screw. It's a sealed opening on the valve and no hole on the UIM. I doubt it would be worth it to tap the valve and the UIM, but it's nice to have options.

I lost that nut and took a spare TB to the Ace Hardware store, they have it. don't remember the size though. just get one of each size of small *** nut, it will cost you like a dollar total.

good to know...maybe they will also have threaded rod of that size as well.

Lowes did not have anything.

Ace has the nuts, they are M5 x .5.

They only have them in one container, at .65c each.

No metric threaded rod though.
