The Idiots Story of the year!

Well you guys im the the best day of my life. I was on my home from orientation from my new job. and when i pulled in the driveway i noticed the temp gauge went to 3/4 up..so i started freaking and not think very clearly and open the rad. cap. Normally i open it and i just get a lil gust of pressure, well today i get blasted by hot coolant all over my face..so i take a quick shower and rinse the engine. I tried to start it and it wont start...this has happened to me before..except the first time the temp gauge was buried in the red.. does someone want to spill the bad new to me? or does anyone still think that there is hope? if someone want to IM me @ laofc3s that would be alot easier than posting...

The bad news is... I don't think you should have children.

What does it do when it won't start?

Let the engine dry out for a day or 2. You sprayed down the engine and Im sure some water got into some wires as it always does. Could have soaked the coils and they are not firing right.

Never, ever spray off an engine without sealing off any intake plumbing and covering any and all electrical components first. This is a direct issue if you do that. I hope thats all thats wrong bro, hate to see another FC go down.

Sounds like your coolant seals are blown if you have to keep replacing coolant. Rebuild.

did you make sure you bled the system properly? made sure every air bubble was flushed out of the system... an air bubble can easily cause overheating issues....

Ok *Update* from the dummy..I properly bled the system.Started the car, white smoke from the exhaust for 2 mins. I replaced bleeder screw after it started to spew.
Engine temp was good at 1/3 the whole time. Took it for a stroll around the block engine temp was still good(add coolant light shuts off under load). Engine's power felt good. The only thing i was concerned with is im getting steam or smoke from the water pump fill neck cap. Any input?

If it's from the cap it's probably steam. Make sure the cap is on properly.

And if your car is throwing white smoke out the exhaust ... those are probably the coolant seals in the engine. If it stopped, you may be ok but it sounds like this engine is on it's last legs.

white smoke can be normal condensation, it does NOT necessarily mean it has a seal issue.

At least you learned not to take the rad cap off when the engine is still hot!
