idiot lights
hey, how do i fix my clock? it worked for like 5 minutes today, and now i really want to fix it, i think its something loose, because car car was really hot when it worked and when when it cooled down a bit i had to hit it to get it to work, and now it wont work at all
also, the thing where all the idiot lights come on when i turn the ignition to "on" doesnt work unless the clock works
can someone tell me where the weak point is? or where to check?

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
I have rebuilt ones available on my webstore.
or you can try and fix it yourself as long as the circuit boards have not been damaged by fluids (often from spills on the dash, armor all spuege or leaking windscreens).
To fix it yourself, dis-assemble the panel to get access to where the circuit board meets the connectors on the back of the idiot light/clock panel. Remove the old solder on the joints where the plug pins meets the circuit board, and flow new solder in. You can not just re-heat the joints. The old solder must be removed before new solder flows in. The corrosion built up in the bad joint remains unless you remove that old solder.
Or buy a rebuilt one from me: http://www.mazdamark.com/Clockwarningpanel.htm
and of course this has been covered here, you may wish to use the search function found in the upper right hand corner of the page.
