Idiot Lights

Hey guys I welded in my seat to the floor and now the check belt light is on. Both work going up and down, everything latches. I am thinking I might have nicked the harness while I got a spot on the inside of the drivers side. At any rate if I take that light out will the ecu throw a check engine light, or should I just sharpie/tape it?

Thank you!

The sensor for the seat belt sends a ground to the light to cause it to turn on thus you must have grounded that wire accidentally. You could just remove the bulb and be done with it.
