Unhappy idiot cluster "stop" light lites up even with GOOD brake lights, help?

I repaired the clock on my idiot cluster and resoldered all the connections and all is well except one thing that remains, whenever I hit the brakes it shows the "stop" light which apparently indicates a bad bulb but all the bulbs are good.

Any idea what it is......

It lights upo for low fluid also? I thought it was only for bulbs and the one called "brake" was for the emergency brake and the fluid.

This is good to know. My car is doing the same thing, however my fluid level is OK. The fluid is dirty and should be flushed, does this also cause the light to come on? (making the switch stick on?)

Thanks,
-Bobby

bobby, have you checked your acctual bulbs? i dont think having dirty fluid would hurt it. BUt i'm sure after 17 years the switch/sensor head may be alittle dirty.. take it all apart, and clean it up.
