Idel air valve??

(Rx-7 86 no turbo)I need to know where it is and if its posible to fix it. When the car idols it revs kinda then stops.. then revs and stops.. it keeps going when its in neutral.. i was told thats whats wrong with my rx-7. So if anybody could help me find it i could replace it.. thanks

um you cant keep posting "anybody?" cause it's considered post whoring. I would help but I don't know. I am having similar idle problems it idles at 800 for a few seconds, then goes to 500 then dies. Revving keeps the engine alive.

well i just need help. Im a poor guy and cant afford to take my car to a shop and everybody in my town dont know anything about cars so im looking for any help i can get online. Im not trying to get my posts up. I seriously need help. The rx-7 is the only car in my family and im no macanic. Im having the same problem... Any hlp will save me

i am also experiencing this problem on my 88 n/a...pita...wonder if its iac or vacuum leak...or other problems...it will die after it warms up, and while it is warming up, it tends to act like its missing or doing small back fires periodically...and when decelerating with it in gear, it backfires as the revs decrease...
