Ideas?
alright soo... i have an 86 na that wont start...
at first i found out the fuel tank and fuel pump was rusted tooo ****!(could this be causing a problem someone else?) sooo i replaced the tank, pump, and filter... still doesnt start... sooo i checked the injectors and they were clicking...checked the plugs and they were sparking or sooo i thought.. i geuss not enough
but anyways i took it in to the shop and they have been ****** around with it.. they checked the compression and all was good. (by the way the shop is tech 1 in edmonton) and they thought it was the leading coil ignitor...turns out it wasnt... sooo now they think it might be the trailing coil ignitor...but im not too sure..
does anyone have any ideas at all what it could possibly be...like it turns over and sounds like it will start...like it is sooooooo damn close!!!!

how are the wires, the plugs, you're sure the compression is good? Was it sitting? how long? did you replace the rubber fuel lines? Do a flow test on the new pump make sure it is within spec. Then the injectors. Did you try to start it on starting fluid? That is the best way to confirm fuel problem in my experience.

it was sitting for a long time..
i think i will replace the spark plug wires and might aswell get some new plugs in there.
i didnt replace the fuel lines but i did flush them out a couple times..
how do you start it on starting fluid.. and i geuss i should do a flow test...but i know im getting fuel through it.. a low pressure would make it not start would it
just run like ****?
