IC sizing options

would it be better to get a larger bar and plate IC because it cools less, but allows more air to pass through for the radiator, or smaller tube and fin intercooler?

right now im looking at...

bar and plate: 17.5 x 11.75 x 3 core - 3in ID/OD
or
tube and fin: 20.5 x 9 x 2.5 core - 2.75 ID/OD

main concern is coolant temps, but also a fear that 350whp is out of range for w/e IC i get.

opinions please.

Jon

With a upgraded RAD I dont think you will have problems with ither. Personaly I would go with bettor cooling IC and dont use aluminum piping if your concerd of cooling. use plastic anything heat resistant or hosing. Aluminum conducts heat so fast you actualy defeat the purpos of the intercooler

I use bar and plate IC and see that its alot better coolant than the greddy. I run t70 3" turbo back, 4" intake and 2.5" piping. The IC outlets are bother 3". And yes It never heats up. Unless you at the track all day under the florida sun at about 12pm. And if you let it sit between runs you have nothing to worry about..
