Hahaha...

wtf is reiabel?

My stock suspension, no-lip FC already makes me nervous enough when it comes to curbs and parking spots... taking two inches off that (especially with a lip) is just asking for broken body parts (why do you think drift cars get so beaten up? Besides just crashes of course).

90% of your cars are 4x4 so don't talk.

RE_TED : MR. DRIFTMASTER, I thought you knew and have been around all
types of Race Class, Drifting , Street car RX-7s... I'm sure they were raised too?
Ah, the antagonist from the hippari argument from the suspension section...

Sorry dude, most of us drive on the street where there are pot holes, speed bumps, etc.
If you run your too-low FC down here, cops can site you for improper ride height.

Before mouthing off with your crap, why don't you also mention all the unsafe problems associated with dropping the car too low?
* Hitting the ground - this can cause you to break parts, bend you chassis, lose control of your car
* Shocks not designed for the severe drop - only thing I can think of is the Tokico HTS dampers, which are NOT IMPORTED OFFICIALLY INTO THE USA. You compress the shock which is not designed for that kinda ride height, you can blow the shock up.

I've known people who lose their front bumpers on the freeway cause they hit a depression in the road.
At that speed, you can kill yourself, cause you end up running over your bumper.

I've known people who blew up their shocks.

I've known people who lose body kit pieces.

I've known people who kill their hubs and bearings.

So stop offering stupid advice and go away...

too low's bit of a speed bump hazard, there are some numbminded people out there that seem to be driving around in SUVs that love building huge speedbumps in random communities, almost up to the point that I have to park outside the community just to get to my friends house. Hell when my uncle got a neon the first time it came out it scrapped alongsides the speedbumps. My other uncle had the HOA chop off 2 of the speedbumps to his house because they were scrapping the hell outta his mercedes, was a freaking ridiculous speedbump cause the owner of the house got the HOA to place 2 right between his house, ******* ridiculous. Anyways point being, asides from fuxing up your car on speedbumps, there's a chance you'll also scrap against some pothole somewhere and lose control.

As for the other things I have no experiences with those

"as my mother so many times told me"

As Flower said to Thumper also.

And, I do agree with Ted's sentiment and actually see a bit of humor (albeit at others expense) in it's delivery. So, perhaps additional mother wisdom worth remembering;

"It isn't what you say, but how you say it that really matters" I applaud Ted's second post as much more constructive in that regard.

Gives a hint on the value that can be found from Ted's web site. Anyone that hasn't checked out Ted's web site really should. Good stuff.

How about...
You do a proper seach before asking such newb questions?
I couldn't been real dick and screamed SEARCH!

I ain't your mama.
You want to coodled and babied, go cry to your mama.
My answer was a very ascerbic reply to you telling you NOT to do this.
I guess you didn't get the gist of it?

Then all these bitches started to question my "usefulness" of my reply.
To that I replied with a much more lengthy answer that should answer ANY questions you have on the subject.

My suggestion to you: grow thicker skin.
This is not little league...

lol funny thread!

buy any set of quality coilovers that have ashortened shock/strut body and you can lower your FC more than the usual 1" that a stock-type shock/strut allows.

I run tein flex and my FC is lowered somewhere around 3", maybe a little more.
I dont have any handling issues on the street or at autox.
the car has been corner balanced and handles incredibllly well.
AND... I am running 17" wheels with tires that have a rather big overall height... if I switched to something shorter like a 285/30R18 then I could lower the car another half inch.

zeal, cusco, tein, jic, etc all have shortened bodied suspensions that can lower an FC safely.

I don't get the big wheel deal.
You spend all that money to lower the car, then get 18 inch wheels to raise it back up to where it was??
AND - the big wheels kill your final drive ratio.
Ya wanna go low, get some generic coilovers, some stiff shocks, put 45's on the 16's and go drifting.
I happen to like a stiff ride - just my preference.

Here's a 1.5" drop.

You don't have a clue do you? When you put on larger diameter wheels you also use a lower aspect ratio tire to keep the stock overall diameter. This will not change the total drive ratio.

Exactly, mine is lowered at least 2”. Hell from the factory these things look like 4-wheel drive trucks!
