I Think My Coils Are Bad....

ok people, im looking for ignition coils because im thinking thyre bad. i know my battery is low but i measured it and it has enought juice to start the car. is there a way to check the coils to see if they are bad. and how much do you think they would run me because i called a parts store and all the "coils" they had ran from 250 all they way up to 950. so whats the deal. thanks.

There is a checkout in the FSM. And coils are a dime a dozen. They are the same for the N/A and TII, so just check the FS section.

the coils don't fail all that often so i would test them first, just get a known good spark plug and hook it up to each plug wire and lay it on the block and crank the engine, if it sparks then that coil is good.

if you in fact do need a coil then check in the for sale section here or go to pick a part and get one for about $30-40.
