I think my clutch is dying

okay, so here is the deal. At high rpm's like upwards of 6000 when shifting my clutch seems to slip like mad. it like hesitates. the feeling is similar to the wheels breaking loose. Does this mean that my clutch is going to die. Under normal driving conditions it is fine and it doesnt always do it under hard driving, but most of the time. When I bought the car less than 10,000 miles ago it was supposedly a new stock replacement, and I havent abused the car near enough the thrash a clutch in that short amount of time. The car is a 1990 GXL. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, your clutch is slipping. If it's brand new, maybe it needs an adjustment. Most likely though, you're screwed.

I can't even put the pedal to the floor in my T2 now, because the second the boost kicks in, the clutch slips... Time for a stage 2.

Make certain there is some free play in the clutch pedal. Without free play the plate is not clamping at full pressure and allowing the disc to slip. If free play adj. ok, continued slippage could cause flywheel damage, so assembly should be replaced quickly.

It sounds to me like your clutch is going. But if it is almost new...hmmm... Maybe they trashed it right when they put it in. They might not have broken it in at all. my clutch did almost the same thing as your when it was bad...except alot worse. I couldnt even get into boost without it slipping like mad...then when i shifted i would have to wait a second to get back on the throttle.
