Smile I think my brother is joining the dark side...

Last week my little brother had someone pull a U-turn in front of him and his poor Jetta is now floating around in Volkswagen heaven. Well, he had his heart set on a 94 Jetta GLX black/black leather and in great condition until I took a look at the classifieds last night. Lo and behold I saw a few new RX-7s in the paper including a 1988 RX-7 Turbo II black/grey leather with 49K original miles for $4250. I called the guy up and got the scoop on the car. Apparently, it's his wife's car and it's only been driven for 10,000 miles in the past 10 years. My brother is on the way right now to test drive it and if it's as nice as I think it is, he'll want to drive it home today. Of course we'll get a compression check done, but I really doubt that there's anything wrong with the motor. I'm just going to make sure he doesn't rag on the car too soon, with the low amount of miles over the past few years, the car needs to be broken back in gently. I'd go to test drive the car, but I'm stuck working til 11 or so and I really can't get out of it.

I'm willing to bet that you're going to see a new chump posting about his car in the next few days.

yep, my brother was the first to get a rex, he got a 87 TII with a motor with only 23,000 miles on it, i personally always wanted a 99' 3000gt VR4, but only in dreams, and before that i had the crazy idea of droping a h23 into a civic and turbo, after my brother got a exhaust, intake and s5 turbo i began to turn, not to long after riding around with him, beating ricers left and right, i decided to get the car i have now, 87 TII and i couldn't ask for another car, theres somthing about having a car where the engines about a foot and a half long and maby 2 feet tall and can still kick the **** out of almost anything it comes accross...

That and the RX-7 is a 100% purist sports car, and the civic is just "sporty (cough)" No comparison.

once I get the Turbo II running, my brother is going to buy the 86 Sport off of me. He really likes it and i think he'll treat it well.
