if i remove the rats nest doesnt that affect the a/c and p/s... if i remember correctly there are plugs that go to them and vaccum lines... i want to remove it but dont want to lose the a/c, and p/s until i get a manual rack.... anybody done this without sacraficing them... and also what page on the fsm is it in... i thought i downloaded the entire thing but apparently im missing a few.. thanks in advance

Well, assuming you're discussing the 88 'vert in your sig, it's an S4. I have an S4, and the rats nest has nothing to do with the P/S or A/C. My rat's nest is functionally removed (still installed, only because I couldn't find my 7' of fuel injector hose when I was working on it last time - nothing connected though other than fuel), and they both work fine.

The only thing the rat's nest would affect other than emissions... is on a S5... the VDI and 6 ports' path from the ACV to the actuators maze around in the rat's nest. However... you can just run hose like I do
