Personally, I wouldn't pay that much for it. Just make sure its in great shape if you are going to pay that much.
Go to www.aaroncake.net for a used rotary buying guide.

^^^ My thoughts exactly. Looks like a GXL to me unless he did a 5 lug swap, which wouldn't be stock

try craigslist.com choose your state and your area or an area near you if you cant find it and go to the cars and trucks section and search rx7. thats where i found my RX and if works great. although the body is left to be desired...lol.

MI means Michigan right? well i dont know where sterling heights is but in detroit there are a decent amount of RX7s for sale.

That's way too much for a rough NA unless it has a recent rebuild or something. You can get cleaner NAs for 1-2 grand off this forum all day long...and a road trip is not that big a deal to go get it.

Just for saying that flat black came stock, i think hes got alot to hide. Do a compression test for sure when you check it out. If the milage truly is 87,793 id say the price is pretty decent but since its flat back id offer 2.5k

Looks like '91 GXL rims. I would hope it runs and drives like new for the price asked. Low miles though, so they will fight you a bit when you make a lower counteroffer. Looks decent.

Exactly right. I rode with a friend on a 20-hour drive from Oklahoma to Vegas and drove back in my '90 N/A that I won on Ebay for $850. I kid you not. The car dealer had no clue about the engine other than it ran perfect. Still does. I opened the hood to find a fresh rebuild. Needless to say I had a fixed grin on my face all the way home.

Okay, I went and looked at it, and the dealer is full of lies. Odometer said 136K+ miles, the order of paint jobs went: factory red, silver(?), and then the flat black on top, and the interior was all torn up. It was a sunday (no dealers) so i didnt get to see the engine or anything, but if the engine was maintained like the rest of the car, i want nothing to do with it. Also, the car has a SCCA sticker on the back, so maybe it was taken to a track, fucked up, then sold. I'm just gonna keep looking and see if i can find good condition Turbo.
thanks for all the advice so far

I wouldn't get it. Keep looking and check the for sale section.

14" Rims?? ........engine Is Mint Waiting For Your Mods...... sounds like a very well steam cleaned modded motor!!

LOOKS TO BE A GXL...did it have power windows and a rear window wiper??

try to get them down to like $1500.....down play all the **** on the car >>mileage, stock colors it used to be.....b4 the factory flat black.
IF you do go back and drive it .. drive it hard!!
