ok.... i have a dilemma.... i am gonna buy these wheels... there are 2 things i cant decide on......

1. i have 2 wheel combos i like...

17x7 40 offset 1.75" lip front
17x9 35 offset 3" lip rear ($550 shipped to my door)

or

18x7.5 38 offset 2.25" lip front
18x9.5 35 offset 3.25" lip rear($650 shipped to my door)

next is color...... i like them both equally, and would like to hear everyones input... heres a photoshop of both colors

gold just isnt doing it for me.....gunmetal looks a lot better i think. And id definatly go with the 17's

Gold doesn't go very well with your orange, And personally I've always thought 18's are too big on an FC.

17" Gunmetal would be a great choice.

gunmetal... thanks for the website. i have just found the wheels that im putting on my vert. i think im going with the sport max 006 in gunmetal with a 1.75 lip in front and a 2.5 lip in the rear.

The gunmetal would look the best if you had some darker stuff on your car to offset all the orange, for instance if the hatch surround was still black. It would probably be good tho cause I know your windows are probably tinted pretty dark.

You should do a color matched rim.

 

If the car was black, or blue, white, or silver, I'd say gold. I'm extremely partial to gold rims. Love em. But with this color car, I really dislike them. Gunmetal all the way.

ok, well i just broke down and bought the wheels......... and the verdict was.... (drumroll please)





GOLD!

i got them in 18x7.5 front, and 18x9.5 rear .... i pick them up tomarrow ($577 total, including all hardware and lugnuts)





the good part is, i bought them at a local wheel shop, so if i dont like the gold wheels on the car, i can return them and get the gunmetal (as long as i dont mount tires on em')

i mainly wanted to see what everyone thought, then do the complete opposite i like to be different, so if everyone likes the gunmetal ones, im gonna go w/ the gold ones but who knows, i may not like the gold ones when i put them on the car, so at least i have the option of swapping for the gunmetal ones
