I need some really good tires, reccomendations?

I have hated my tires since I got my car. They are all mixmatched generics. One of them is almost bald, and the other 2 are fairly worn.

Anyways, whats a really good summer tire? I dont need anything for snow, I dont particularly care about rain, but thats a plus. Wear is fairly important as tires are expensive.

So basically whats the most grippy tire that will actually last a respectable amount.

I'm looking at the Bridgestone Potenza S03 Pole Positions. At $135 apiece, I am looking for something a bit cheaper. $135 apiece is doable, but the cheaper the better. I want really good grip and pretty good wear. I know the S03s are some of the best tires available.

Any reccomendations other than the S03s? Something around 100 a tire or so would sound a lot better than 135 a tire

thanks

I have the Falken Ziex tires on my car. Great tire, $70 at sears, but do go on sale from time to time. The tire looks like it belongs on a sports car with the tread design being unidirection. I like them a lot and they seem to be a decent tire.

nah, they all suck!

Either Yokohama Parada spec2 or Advans. Advans are insane max performance tires, w/ probably negligible wet weather handling and NO winter weather handling. the paradas arent as extreme as the Advans. but both lay down huge foot prints.

Paradas also have a long wearing rubber compount like the first generation did, but these are stickier than the last generation.

They also look bad ***...especially w/ a touch of negative camber.

I'm calling my body shop now (friends with them so they give me good prices)...

anything else to reccomend? I asked him to look up the S03 pole positions, Pirelli p-zero rosso, kumho supra 712. Hopefully I can find something for a good price!

Please reccomend something as theres a lot of tires out there, especially high performance ones

azeni's all the way. Go look at the scca records and you'll notice quite a trend for the top finishers of the street tire class.

I'm using Nitto 450 Extremes. They have a really aggressive tread pattern for the rain and loads of spare grip for freeway ramps.
