Question I need some help with a problem I'm having.

Ok. I'm working on my friends '87 gxl. I need some help. It will not start vut I have tried everything I can think of. I've checked the compression and it had good compression. I've checked the BAC valve. I know it's fireing. The coils/igniters checked to be good it has new plugs. I've checked the injectors. I've changed the fule that was in it and the filter and the lines and put new gas in it. It keeps flooding it's self and I keep unflooding it and tring again. Dose anyone know of something I can try? I'm up for anything right now.

Does it fire at all, or just crank? Have you tried to check for any engine codes at all? How about your plug wires, are you sure they are good?

Does the car seem to kick over at all, or sound like it wants to start? Has there been any issues before this of it not working?

Tell you what. Try this backward method that works for me.1. Pull the fuel pump plug apart(located on the left rear strut tower, rear side, under the carpet. 2. Buy a can of starter fluid. 3. Spray it in the snorkel in front of the afm for just a second or less. 4. Floor the pedal and crank the engine. 5.If there is spark, it WILL ignite. Do this a couple of times. It helps burn off the excess fuel 6.The next time you do it, have someone ready to plug the connector back together the instant the car starts. 7. Don't spray the starter fluid continuously into the intake. You could bust your engine that way. 8. Take into consideration making a fuel pump cut switch for the future. 9. If the car won't start momentarily with the starter fluid, something else is wrong. 10. You might try buying just the LEAD plugs and installing them. The trails are a waste of money. Keep the cost down for right now.

I got it to srat before with starter fluid and the the fuse pulled for the injectors. I found my problem my pressure regulator is stuck and it build up so much pressure that the injectors are forced open causing it to flood. I replaced the regulator and it funs fine now. Thanks for everyones support.
