Unhappy I NEED A REBIULT 13B turbo

As seen in the post my RICO, my motor engine crapped the bed. I test today comfirmed that on my 87 turbo 2 has a blown apex seal in the rear rotor. I bought this car for 5 grand, 6 (*#@%) days ago. it has 81k miles. I know the guy took good care of the car.

My question is....WHERE IS THE CHEAPEST/BEST PLACE TO BUY REMAUFACTURED MOTORS. not used ones. I found a few places that are 1700-1800 with 1 and 2 year war. Guys, any help would be great.

thanks
jared

try FC3S.org, they sell jspec motors at a reasonable rate. Also PM "Dustin Setayesh" on the forum, I believe he sells Jspecs as well.

he specifically asked for remanufactured, NOT used, and you give him a used link
I think that www.rx7.com rebuilds engines, as well, there are a few people on the forum.

jaredcolletti,

I believe you qualify for the lemon law, so ask for a full refund and get something else OR ask for most of the money back.

Vaughn i believe you are incorrect. The lemon law(what i understand) only partains to new vehicles and if you purchased a used automobile from an individual it is purchased as is and has no warranty. So pretty much you are hosed. Sux but thats pretty much the deal. THis may vary in your state but in texas thats whats up. Hope you gett your ride on the road again soon man.

Technically, he wasn't wrong, as we now sell J-Spec AND rebuilt engines (Well, we are starting to)

Does your bill of sale have the words "sold as-is" on it. If it does not you have some legal recourse. Might want to check with a lawyer since the $5000 might be to much for small claims court.

Don't feel bad - I would've said the same thing.&nbsp From my experience, $2000 is about the price level where most of the larger rotary shop would charge for a rebuild engine.&nbsp $1700-$1800 is within that range.&nbsp If the original poster thinks that's too much, then a J-spec would be a very reasonable option for about $1000.

Don't you wish for a vacation now?
