I beleive that small siver box is your speaker amp. I removed mine when I put the quarts in. I don't believe you'll need it if your running an aftermarket stereo.

Darn, I was going to guess anti-theft unit. Oh well. By the way, do you have anti theft on your car????? If it does not turn out to be the speaker amp, maybe..........

Ya, I have a anti theft unit (somewhere). I thought those were inder the passenger seat though? hmm, not to sure.. I will have to look at the book again, but the pictures in the book suck.
