I need Help ripping out my exhaust

I want to remove catalytic converters and everything that is restricting airflow but I want to spend little to no money. I am considering hollowing out the main converter and getting a simple downpipe to replace the two small converters.

My concern is if the ports will still open correctly and what problems I should expect. Can someone describe a similar project that I could recreate.

Ron

The only option I know of to replace the cat while retaining 6-port actuation is the racing beat downpipe/midpipe combo. Thats a $390 combo though, so I guess your best bet is to just gut everything out.....not your mufflers though of course.

don't gut your main cat you can get a down pipe for the pre-cats and when you get enough money upgrade to a racingbeat combo w/six port actuation.

Like Blu_glx says keep the main cat if you can. If you take it off, store it. I wish I had. Find a local (barn out back) muffler shop. They can weld up a head pipe with a sensor bung for maybe $50.
If you loose the cat, you will get flow, but you also begin to loose backpressure for the 6-ports.
I'm looking for a ~6PSI electric air pump to work my ports, so I can pull the belt driven pump.
