I think just the regular six cyl. I have beaten GT's before(well one anyways) I removed the A/C, stereo, and switched to a cone intake. My pulsation damper is now a banjo bolt and I have replaced most of my VAC lines with silicone.

If this is the extent of your mods you'd be lucky to get low 16s. Sorry but thats not gunna cut it against what you are racing.

no but if u do it too much you'll go blind!!!

try fuel filter/ lines/ injectors
or it could be ignition... when did u last do plugs/ wires.
this could be all manner of things id say just start with the **** that is simple to check and easy/cheap to fix and move from there. does this always happen or did it just that one time?

what kind of jerks? Is it your engine or your actual car? Could it be your tires/steering/transmission slipping somewhere or something? Or is your fuel pump going out? I would take it in to get it looked at. But then again it could be something simple like plugs/ wires...

Not that it really matter but what type of oil you using? Are you running in cold weather?

On another note don't feal bad, I lost to a Gram AM GTP, supercharged smaller pully, 9PSI, and an aftermarket cumputer, but I only lost to him by, 0.02secs! if I wasn't at the drag strip I sure have hell woulda thought I beat him, that run was my 13.85, the GTP ran a 13.83!!!!!!!!!

I run mobile one 10w-40 about to do the oil change but it just rained and I am going to wait until the weekend to do it I just came back from checking the plugs and I found out that the plugs that the car had on were all leading ones I replaced them all with the correct ones. Now I have bothe leading and trailing the wires look dirty but I don't have a new set so I can't do that right now. I took the car for a 0-90 rum and it felt a lil better oh and DC350 My idle is now solid at 700rpm.

Supercharged Grand AM GTP I'm sure Pontiac would be interested in hearing about this one.

I think you mean a Grand PRIX GTP.

I've seen a bone stock grand Prix GTP run a 13.51 when manually shifted. 15.1's when the slushbox was in control.

Grand Am GT's can be pretty quick if they have the right mods. My roommates `02 dynoed out at 166hp @ the wheels with nothing more than a cold air intake. (not just a cone filter, but mandrel tubing going down in front of the left wheel well) That car weighs 3150lbs and poses a threat to me in first because of his torque and better traction, (225 rubber) but when I hit second its over. Too bad he cant afford insurance on the car now from all the tickets. (he hasn't sold it yet but is accepting offers) I'd like to run him again with my new suspension goodies and see if he can still give me a challenge in first.

We have it on video and I hate the ************ who did it. Needless to say we were all surprized by the time as well. PM "Lechnoid" on here and ask him. He was there that day also.

I get that in my car too... Let me ask you this:

If you accelerate slowly to redline, is it still there?

If not, it's most likely the TPS.

I only get it when I floor it.
