I need help finding a nice aluminum wing for my 2nd gen!

Hello guys. I need help finding a nice aluminum wing for my 86 Rx7. I need one that will fit on the back of my car. I have been looking, but haven't found one yet. If any of you have a nice single wing that fits hook me up with the website you ordered it off of. I am looking for one that is a drag style wing..One that has a single wing and is low to the back of my car..Something that would almost look stock, but still has that race look...One that will fit on the car..Give me some suggestions...PLEase...Thanks...

30,000yen. thats a little over $250

Jason from JT-Imports can win the auction for you and ship it to you. Although the auction ends in 15hours, you probably don't have enough time. But Jason should be able to find somewhere that sells the Cusco wing.

Why do you want that wing first of all?
I think it looks kind of rice but if it actually does the function it is supposed to and you drag race a lot then I guess it is ok. I liked the one in the pic it was not so FnF.

My 88 i just sold had the bomex front bumper on it..It looked so good on it..I also had an APR mini-drag wing on it. I thought it was going to fit right at first but i dont hink it ever looked right..it was only about 3-4 inches off the car and kinda sat off the back a little. If you were to get it i would modify the brackets so it would look a little better and you could position it better. They normally run around $300 or so just because its APR. The mounts them selves are only about 2.5-3 inches long so it fits on the small spaceon the hatch with nothing going down on the rear

FYI:

How wings work:
http://www.gmecca.com/byorc/dtipsaer...ics.html#Wings

Wings, by their design require that there be no obstruction between the bottom of the wing and the road surface, for them to be most effective. So mounting a wing above a trunk lid limits the effectiveness.
Just some info for when you're deciding what to buy and how to place it on your 7...

It's like this. If you want a wing for you FC, you shouldn't neglect your car and go all out and give it what it deserves. If you get a wing, and it's not the stock TII wing, you should get the RE Amemiya wing, in carbon fiber or kevlar (and go bankrupt in the process) or the Mariah mode 6 wing. They have 2 heights aswell, so you can go 6 inches off the deck or 9. NICE!

I agree with 1987rx7guy, i think it's alittle tooo rice for me, you don't really need it anyway, unless you plan on hitting 200+ mph.

Yeah I personaly like my wing since it is supposed to actually help the aerodynamics of my car an it is soooo tiny

I was just looking at the wings on the CS site, and the RE GTII spoiler caught my eye. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this wing mounted backwards? It looks like it would create lift in it's current configuration.

Damn pics won't post! Just go here, and look at the pics of the RE GTII Spoiler:

Ok to help him I would recommend my wing. It is the small black rubber one that helps aerodynamics. If he is going for looks on his car the Big wings you all are talking about don't make the car look nice they make it look like a top fuel dragster that is only going 55mph. Most of the time they will only be dragged around and it is only when you reach really high speeds that they are effective. Most damned wings like those don't do **** for performance or looks bro. I again would suggest he look for one like mine at a yard and get it hella cheap. If he needs the thing for a track car then so be it but for a normal car it will be more bad than good to looks and performance since it is niether effective nor does it blend with the lines of the car.

WOW. I had no idea you were an expert in engineering and aerodynamics. He didnt ask, "hey what wings look the best" he asked where can he get a wing that fits his specifications. Then you and all of your ANTI-RICE police come up and talk **** on him because he wants something.

dont get pissed at us because we react this way.....
this forum is very biased when it comes to rice and for good reasons....we dont want to see such a sweet car get treated like its an everyday car....
the fact is that the wing will do nothing for him except rice it out......im sure he's not going fast enough to make the wing functional.....
there is so much more i could comment on, but i wont...its not worth it...do whatever you want to do....just dont get mad when you get called out on it by the members of this forum
