make them out of hardboard/fiberboard.... like 1/8 or 1/4 inch... cost yah like 5 bucks

I made mu own too, but if you dont want the fuss, my buddy bought the junky (durabrand or sorchse) 6.5 speakers at walmart that include brackets. I think it was like 8 or 9 buck a piece.

just trip out the inside of the stock adapter the actual opening will fir an 8 inch speaker. i just trimmed like 1/4 inch all around the inside with tin snips
