I made an 88AE and its owner very happy!
On the way to work I have noticed an 88AE sitting in front of a guys house. My wanting to look at other RX-7s instinct kicked in and I stopped by to talk with the guy the next week.
The guy is an original owner of the car and it has close to 180,000 miles on it. It is a beat up AE but the body is in good shape. The guy really has a love for his car and the rotary. So I looked in the engine bay and it is rather dirty. I don't think it has ever been cleaned up in there.
Started talking and he told me it has a new engine from someplace down in Florida. About 2 years old. Ever since then it has had really bad hesitation. So I took her for a spin. After he commented nobody elses really has driven it.
Man did it hesitate bad. 1/4 throttle and it was a bucking. Brought it back and started looking around. Then I pulled the vacuum line off of the boost sensor. This hose was mickey moused together. And inside no vacuum pill?
Well yesterday I got a vacuum restrcictor from Advanced Auto and put it on his vacuum line. FIXED!!!
This guy was so freaking happy. He said that ever since the engine was installed it has never been right. And three mechanics have worked on that car. But I got it fixed for $1.50 at Advanced
One more happy RX-7 and it's owner out there.

Its always good to see people happy, especially after helping them
Good job man. When I put my Intake on my Accord one of the lines didn't fully reach the intake, so I "stretched" it, well, it was so tight on there that it actually cut air flow off and my car hardcore hesitated, I didn't think anything of it, then I examined the hose a little more, and noticed that it was the cause of the problem, went to AutoZone and got a new one for 89 cents and car ran perfect after that!
