So i went and picked up a buddy to go meet up with some friends. went to make a u-turn on us19 (busy highway) got on it a little while turning backend comes out nothing unusual. straightends out put it in second then !@#$%^&**&^%$# happends the shifter is now in my hand when i go to put both hands on the steering wheel. pull off the side of the road take a second and realize i snapped the tail end of the transmission including breaking the driveshaft yok. heres the thing i have the original GTUs trans(rebuilt after being stuck in rev.) and a little free cash. should i get a new driveshaft and new diff mount(been broke for months) and swap trannys? or should i rip out the motor bolt up trans and sell it for 2,500? just want some opinions,thoughts,or ideas....

 

Okay....so what are your options?

1. Fix Trans, driveshaft, diff mount
or
2. sell the motor and trans for 2500

Correct?

 

Pretty much, just wanted opinions. i love this car but im fed up with it. 1 1/2 yrs and 6k later ***** still breakin'.
