Sounds like a vacuum leak but it can be alot of things,When i bought my 87 gxl i removed the upper intake manifold and the vacumm lines were soo dried out that most of them crumbled when i grabed them so i had to replace them all.If its not wanting to rev its probably not the tps sincer that just adjusts throttle.
