I just finished doing a very nice headlight mod. Directions will be up soon!

NathanRX7: Do they still go up and down like that? If not, I don't like it. Also, it doesn't seem like they would make much light.
NathanRX7: Actually, that looks pretty sweet, but they definitely need to be able to go down still.
they still go up and down the same, i just have a kill switch for the retractors. i like the ability for it to go down too...especially cuz i dont want anyone trying to steal my lights when im parked or something:p
they make the same amount of light as stock, but i would have to say it depends on the lights you put in there...
i am almost certain if you used different lights you could probably have more coverage
ok so there are the pics, the directions are now being worked on so just chill

So you turn the lights on and then you hit your kill switch half way up?
By the way...nice looking car. Did you ever think about painting your wheels like this?

yes. actually, the motors go up at different speeds, but when they go down they are synchronized, so i hit the kill switch while they're going down

i'm guessing that they would if they are brighter than the stock lights. i'm not really a lighting guru or anything. the bulbs that come with the lights arent that bright, they are probably about the same maybe a little brighter than stock...
you could just get the lights i got and then switch the bulbs with brighter H3s...thats what i plan to do one day
rxzero: so how were you able to turn on regular lights and then have the dual brighter ones?
that was actually a special thing altogether. you have to use a diode with each set of lights, otherwise they will alternate: so your outer two lights are your regulars, and your brights are the inner two. get it?
i think it looks better with all four lights on when u have brights on

Isn't there some way to control the height of the assemblies, other than using a kill switch on the motors? I mean, couldn't you change the lengths of the linkages or something? I realize that would probably be a pain and a lot of work, but IMO, the end results would justify it.
