Unhappy I inverted the leading and trailing wires.

I inverted the leading and trailing wires and I start the engine and took a ride.

Did I destroy my engine?

What damage could I cause?

Thanx.

Did you switch them back, or are they still swapped?
If the engine still starts and runs, it's fine.
Under heavy loads, it will detonate on you.

We (my brother and me) have a 3° and a 1987 N/A (basic) 2° gen.

By inverted I mean that I put the blue wires on the lower spark plug and the black on the upper spark plug of each rotor.

Thanks for your help.

I wouldn't worry. i did that once with my first rex since the previous owner switched either the boots or the wires for some reason. i drove it up the street it ran like hell so i went home and after I figured out the problem it was ok for at least 10k miles then someone pulled out in front of me and i never drove it after that. : (

When I bought my car the leading and trailing wires were switched on one rotor. I drove it for a few days like that before I figured out it was a problem. Switched the wires and am still driving the car, 50,000+ miles later.

Oh when I switched the wires back the car Idled much better.
