I have a slight timing issue.
Ok I adjusted my timing today. And to make a long story short, both the leading and the trailing are set on the same mark(the red one). Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it.
Also, the car will idle fine but if i rev it up real quick it fall back to idle become very lumpy and stall out. If i catch it before it stalls it does not even back out, it will stay lumpy and want to stall.
If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ryan

Well, first of all get the leading on the yellow mark. That alone will make a significant difference.
However, I too have not yet gotten my Trailing timing to match up with the red, so I don't know what to tell you there. But I do know that the leading should be on yellow. Turn the Crank Angle Sensor until you can get it there.

So, what happens if you put your timing light close to where the LEAD wires come out of the LEAD coil assy? And if it still shows in the Red, what happens when you loosen the cas and move it to the Yellow mark???
Is LEAD and TRAIL still at the same mark?
And make sure your idle speed is close to 750. Anything close to 10000 will ruin your day.
Your checking TRAIL number one when you check the trail mark?????
When checking the LEAD timing, if the light flashes intermittently, try getting on the other LEAD coil wire. They both fire at the same time but I've noticed a difference in how the light flashes by being on one wire verses the other (lead wires). It makes no difference which LEAD wire you are on when setting the LEAD timing. Trail if a different animal since they do not fire at the same time.

Bump....
I have no new updates. I won't be able to work on my car for a couple weeks, I just want to keep this on top a little longer so I can get as many opions as possible. Don't be shy.
Thanks
Ryan
