i have an 87 GXL is the GXL like the luxury package or right below the turbo?????

i was wondering if my version is designed to be more of a luxury version or a sportier GT type version but i know that they had the T2 for that so what is my version meant for (87 GXL)

Sir, I believe you have a case of Did Not Read This Extremely Helpful and Obviously Placed Thread-itis.

Reading the Specifications (What Did My Car Come With?) thread will tell you that the GXL is top-of-the line for trim, sharing many features of the Turbo version, but also having such things as Auto-Adjusting Suspension and adjustable headrests.

yea its all there in the faq what It came with, its the top of the line as far as accessories, but it's also prolly the heaviest.

i recently picked up a really low mileage 87 gxl, compared to my 1990 BMW e30, the rx7 is quieter, smoother, better handling... the FC really makes the BMW feel like a bus with leather glued to the inside

In factory trim, I believe the GXL even equipped with only the velour is more than enough luxury for most people.
