I hate sun oxidization

I hate sun oxidization

I picked up my T2 last monday and so far have done just a regular wax job.. now i'm redoing it all with a mothers 3 step and damn the cloths are just red from all the oxidized paint I think by the time I get done cleaning all the sun oxidization off I'll be down to the primer

yep, when I got my 'vert it looked more dull orange than red. Red paints just need a little more work than some owners give the car.

It looks better now, but I used a half dozen different things to clean the paint.


Some parts like the mirrors and headlight covers are easier just to paint new than try and get the oxidation out of.

I just did the 3 step meguiars on white paint that was in bad shape, and it turned out great. The first step was the hardest. The polishing and waxing are alot easier.

I used meguiars scratchX first and it is a great product.

damn maybe I'll try meguiars products. It's looking better after the 3 step but damn my terry cloths are red hehe

id just using rubbing compound up the ***, very fine rubbing compound, and try and get rid of the bad top coat, and just continue with the polish and wax

I'm down to the primer Hood and roof have had it. Guess it is time for a repaing.
