Hi, I'm new here, I just bought a '87 rx7 not turbo, the motor has been rebuilt and jsut needs to put together for it to run, I really don't care about the NA motor but more want to swap the T2 motor into it. How difficult would that be? Would the tranny match up, or have I bought myself into an endless money pit and stand no chance of going fast.

 

the tranny will match up but you will need to use a turbo clutch. I havent done the conversion yet but i will later this summer so i dont know how hard it is yet. Check the archives for more info though....

 

That's good news, will just a T2 ecu work or will we need standalone or sumthing like that? Has anyone got any idea on the cost of this opperation? At least I have something to drive while the operation is taking place.
