I Got A Free Tranny!

So at school today, I saw what looked like an FC tranny in the shop and the toolman said I could have it. How do I know what series it's for and is there anything I can do to check if it's good without installing it? It has K2 stamped on into the right side.

I'm rebuilding my S4 NA and I habe no tranny for it, so if this one fits, I just saved myself some money, also, last thing, where can I get rebuild parts for it? Thanks.

I'm trying to find out how to know what series rx-7 it's for or if it's even for one. Is there any way to know, serial number, something stamped on them...

I think an easy way woudl to look at the drain/fill holes.

If I remember right the NA tranny has one fill hole and one drain.
The TII has a fill hole/level check hole/and a drain.

Oh yeah. The TII tranny is a heavy ************ too. Has lots of ribs on the side as well.
Do a search and I'll bet you'll find some pics.

As for interchangable.
FC NA can go in any FC NA
TII would need modification.
