Good. When you used the starter fluid it wanted to start so you know you have spark.

The new plugs should help. To save yourself expense in the future...just buy the Lead plugs, the lower plugs that is. Don't waste money on Trail plugs at this time. They are the upper plugs.

You need to sort of step back from this car and rethink it. You need to make a fuel cut switch OR disconnect the fuel pump plug which is located under the carpet on the back of the left rear strut tower. One or the other.

Once you unplug the fuel pump or make the fuel cut switch try starting the car again. Spray into the snorkel before the afm for just a second or two. You don't need more and never use starter fluid to keep the engine running if it starts.

If you can spray, and get the engine to go varoom a couple of times, then reconnect the fuel pump by either method and try starting the car again. It should run.

Its a very good idea , as described in an above post, to remove the plugs, then crank the engine for ten/fifteen seconds to clear the engine of residue. Disable the fuel pump when doing that. Then clean the plugs by spraying then with a shot of starter fluid and blowing them off. Reinstall them and do as I suggested above.

While you have just the lower plugs out, try this: have someone crank the engine while you put a finger over one of the lower plug holes. Feel the pulses as it tries to shove your finger off. Then do the same with the rear lower plug. If they feel significantly different in pulses...then write back and tell us if that happened. It's a judgemental thing.

Yeah. With all or just the two lower plugs out, crank the engine. Do you get a fine mist of fuel/oil out the sparkplug holes. That would be with all fuses installed and the fuel pump plug on.

Ok...I disconnected the fuel pump and give it a shot started fluid nothing. When I unpluged the fuel pump I still heard a pumping noise.
I pulled out the lower plugs and clean them out and then I checked the pulse. It pulsed 1,2 1,2 like a beat. I did not feel any mist but just air when I tested it with out the lower plugs. Is this a good sign or bad sign.
Do you think the fuel pump is not working at all.

****That would be with all fuses installed and the fuel pump plug on.*****

If all the fuses were in and the fuel pump connected, and you spun the engine over with the starter.....you should have gotten a mist out of the plug holes. No mist would mean maybe the ENGINE fuse is toast or the EGI INJ fuse in the engine compartment is toast or out The ENGINE fuse is inside the car.

The fuel pump should not be running unless the engine is running or the key is held to the START position. I don't know why yours is running.

Fuel pump bad?? Not real likely. Pull the fuel hose off the engine where it connects coming from the fuel filter. Put it in a bottle. Turn the key to ON. Then install a jumper in the fuel pump check connector near the right front strut tower. If you don't know where that is then just turn the key to START for a couple of seconds, then go look to see if any fuel is in the bottle.

I haven't try to turn it on yet for week....I did try to work on the car yesterday.

I disconnected the fuel line the goes to the engine from the fuel filter and cranked it to see if fuel is being sent to the motor and nothing came out. I also disconnected the fuel pump and check to see if i had power and no power was goin to the fuel pump. Could it be that the Fuel injection relay is bad.

Your ENGINE fuse in the crew compartment is blown, most likely. It's the 15amp fuse in this picture:

If that fuse is not blown and I think I looked at the fuse on Friday. if it is not blown what else could it be. Hey when I was testing to see the fuel pump was delivering put the key to the start postion it should have set gas into the bottle that I had to it.

If it's not the ENGINE fuse then it would have to be the ignition switch or the 80amp fuse in the engine compartment.

IF the fuse is good.....then go to the ignition switch and follow the wires down the column about a foot til you see the connectors for the ignition switch. There you find a two wire connector with a black wire and a black/white wire. The black wire should have 12v all day and night. You need a digital meter. A cheap one will do. They can be had for about twenty bucks at Radio Shack or Home Depot.

Yes, turning the key to START should pump fuel out the front fuel hose where it connects to the engine. The hose that comes out of the fuel filter located a foot below the brake reservoir.

Hey I just got sometime to play with the car and I just noticed that there was a alarm in the car before and the wire are still there. The type of alarm is a Viper model 600. Does anyone think that this alarm could be the cause of the car not starting. I cut all those wires when I just got the car But, I reconnected all the wires for the alarm again to see if the alarm will reboot any connection to start the car. I did find the valet switch to turn it on and off but, nothing.

remove the two leading plugs and put in about a tablespoon of atf into each hole, then start her up, will smoke like a chimney for about 5 mintues or so, but then will be fine, change the plugs after that

wow i cant tell if your joking around or your being serious, god i hope your joking around cause damn you are an *** if your not... and also you have a lot of nerve to say i dont know what compression is needed for a car to run properly cause you overstepped your boundary there if that was not meant as a joke... we are trying to help this guy cause he obviously does not know what is wrong with his car and we dont need any loudmouth from anybody. nobody on the forum needs to tell anybody they dont know **** whether its true or not unless they post a reply that is WRONG.....

btw im in texas but damn sure no cowboy :-P

hey guys take it easy there........The one thing this car is not get is a pulse. which I mean there is no gas going to the engine. I test to see if there is juice to the fuel pump and there isn't any. It something electrical or the person who give me this car had a cut off switch some where that is killing the fuel delivery to the engine. I did not do a whole search of the car yet. I pulled the fuel filter line that goes to the engine and turn it to the start postion and no gas came out it. Does anyone else can think of what is the casue of no gas going to the engine. This why its not starting...?
Thanks
