I just found a nice 89 T2 RX7 that I will use as a weekend car. Everything looks good, but it needs new exterior paint. A friend of mine works at a bodyshop and can hook me up with a complete paintjob cheap. He showed me a catalog which lists all the factory paint codes for every current model car out there - the paint color is my choice.

Right now I'm leaning towards a black color....mainly because the original color is black and so the engine bay will match (planning on exterior pj only). What black looks best? I'm thinking about BMW Jet black. Any other suggestions?

 

Mercedes has a really nice black, I dont remember what its called but its only a few years old.
Also the BMW Delphin Grau Metallic looks super-sweet and so does the Mazda Harbor Blue Metallic (Original TII)

 

There is a black made by subaru that I've seen on the WRX wagon...it has a lot of midnight blue metallic in it, but's it's subtle, you'd notice the blue in nice sunlight. very very sharp color!!

 

Dude leave it or paint it a primer color so you have that sleeper effect.

R1 yellow is not that kind of BLACK i would like to get ;o))))
