I Found A GTUs For SAle!!!

He didn't list the price, and he said that a new engine is being installed right now in the ad. It is a 1990, so how much should I expect he will be asking?!?!? I hope I can get a loan!!!!!!!!!!!

Great! But you should always be suspitious of perported GTUs's. I can't tell you how many times somebody has claimed to have a GTUs, but it really turned out to be a plain GTU or another model with just the GTUs sticker.

Things to look for: Generally no sunroof (this was only available on the GTUs as a special order from Japan -- 4 month wait). I have only heard of one (!) GTUs with a sunroof. 16x7 inch "multi-x" turbo rims. Turbo suspension. 4-piston brakes up front. LSD. 4.3 final drive. Close-ratio 5th gear. Manual window cranks. No power door locks. No cruise control. AC was a dealer option. Aluminum jack and 16-inch aluminum spare wheel. Aluminum hood. Less cabin insulation. Turbo seats. Available only in Red, White, and Black. Interior should be dark blue or black. Not sure if other interior colors were available.

BTW, I've only seen two genuine GTUs's (besides my own) in several years of looking -- and I'm a founder of Rotary Power Northwest RX-7 Club and good friends with the owner of Pineapple Racing. They are truly rare! I might be selling my 89 GTUs in the near future to finance a project car. I've got some minor mods on it now, but it will be back to stock when I sell it. 90,020 original miles. Very good condition for its age. Clean title. Best offer over $4,500 takes it. Located in Portland, OR.
