I finally learned why my turbo is booting at high as it is
i met the owner 2 owners before me, the one who started modifying my car to the state it was in before i got the motor built.... the turbo(a stock S5 turbo) was put together with a larger impeller... off a T50... he didn't get into specifically which T50, but granted, thats a much bigger impeller than the stock HT18, and would explain why i see 12 psi in 1st gear without a boost controller
WHat kind of turbo is that???
I've never heard of a t50...
Do you mean maybe a 50 trim wheel????
You can't put in a larger wheel without porting the housing out quite a bit, which in turn would justify the cost of just buying a bigger turbo for better gains anyways...

the raised boost is boost creep caused by the small wastegate.

and yes i have fuel mods, 720 cc secondaries and a warlboro fuel pump, but i'm going to be getting a haltech probly e6x in july, and possibly upping both primary and secondary injectors..
and i was looking around on google because i hadn't heard of T50 turbos either... but i found something about a garrett T50, and some stuff about truck diesels... dunno, it might be a 50 trim turbo
