Ah, I finally had a day off this week and went at it trying to get as much fixed as possible before I sell off my Accord.
I put new brake pads on the rear since the old ones were pretty much down to the rivets, and it went pretty smooth except for this one bolt which I had to take the dremel out to remove it.

That aside, the brakes work great and aren't making a ton of noise now. The only brake-related problem I'm experiencing now is the lack of a parking brake. I adjusted the cable and it looks to me like the mechanism on the wheel side of things is going back as far as it can, but they still don't work. It doesn't even seem like they slow the car down at all or hold it in place on any incline.
I guess I'll have to stick to flat parking lots and garages for now.
I found that my new Husky 3-ton SUV jack works great for the old FC. I can lift it high enough to remove just about anything from the bottom:

I also attempted to fix the lopsided exhaust with some fancy cable work, but I'll need to add a couple more to straighten it out completly. I would like to sooner or later replace everything from the cat back with something a little more elegant:

And while I was at it, I got adventurous and decided to start mocking up the whole sub and carputer situation. I'd really like to make some sort of enclosure on both sides in the rear to house the computer and a 10" sub, this is what one of the compartments would look like (except.. not cardboard):

If anyone has any good ideas on how I can get something molded back there to get build around that 'd be great. I was going to cover the area in plastic and use triple expanding foam to fill it and work off that, but I don't know how that'll turn out.
Here's the only LCD I have, and would ever want to use. It's a bit big, but dammit, I will find a way to fit it in there:

Well, that's it for the next couple of days. Next up is the passenger side body work, which'll be cake compared to the driver's side. The metal is actually intact over there so the fiberglass will be kept to a minimum. I'd really like to get the parking brake fixed, and maybe even try polishing the wheels if I find the time.

You have seen my sub designs I take it?
Because thats exactly what I did with the rear.
Form fitting fiberglass boxes.
The cardboard design you have mocked up now is what my first revision was- except I actualy made them- and covered them in carpet- housed 2 10's.
Sold em to a friend with an S4 also.
The best idea is to tape everything, then use a release paper on top- cover everything in plastic and lay fiberglass- let it dry- trim to size- and reverse using a box, taped with release- trim to fit the other peice- assemble, glass again- and for good measure- use another layer

It's just the normal molding on the door, and the little section behind is blank because I didn't have any double stick tape to reconnect it the matching piece.
Holy crap you're really making my old FC look beautiful! Wow I can't believe how much better it looks now than when I have it, it's just amazing.
Also I completely forgot the day I sold it to you that I was suposed to show you how to get back to 151, it just totally slipped my mind for like 10 minutes after you left. I see you made it back alright though, and keep up the awesome work. I ended up buying a 96 integra gs-r by the way after I sold the camry also and pooled the money from both cars. Hope she's treating you at least half as good as you're treating her.

You may want to try all-metal, seems to dry a bit better than bondo and isn't as prone to cracking. Go with a smaller LCD and fiberglass it into the stereo surround, (it looks awesome, my coworker did this). Looks like there's quite a bit o rust underneath that thing. Got to love Wisconsin/Michigan winters.
Hey, I'm in Minnesota too, right outside Minneapolis. I think I saw a post of yours before maybe? Anyways, VERY nice job. I know of a junkyard with like 7 FCs if you need any parts.
there's an S5 there with perfect tail lights as well. I am goint to take the white wing off that car , but already have S5 lights.
want to clean up my car as well? lol

Good choice on the GS-R as well, those are sweet cars.
You'll have to post some pictures when you get the chance.Enthu, we should hook up sometime and hit the yards. There's a couple of things I'd like to snag, including those tails if they're in decent shape.
You are doing a great job restoring that thing, but that rust would REALLY concern me. I mean look at that exhaust pic...I wouldn't be suprised if you could push through the floor panels in some places. That car has cancer, and I think its terminal
