why isn't the NA FC not that fast during drag racing? You'd think it would be as fast as a 160hp civic si in 1/4 mile, oh wellz I still think the car handles 100 times better.

Civic Si can only run away if you just do a quarter mile, if you start having to let off and get on. It will not win, trust me. I eat my friend's civic si everyday. The only time he gets me back is when we race up to 1xx or go from 0-90

wheel hop will absolutely kill your differential mount. definately get that fixed before you have to resort to fixing the differential mount. what a bitch that was to fix. anyway, a N/A FC could beat a civic si stock? didnt know that... dam i miss my FC

Hey rx7 power... The civic SI seams to be the same if not slightly SLOWER than the 89-91s. Regardless of what times u may of heard from people. Read some of my posts in the 1/8 mile drags in the killz section. I post these up every now and then. The new Si most comonly blue have been getting high 10s in the 1/8 mile. I have seen a bone stock rusted exaust rx7 run 10.2 and another 10.6. The lower one would equate to high 15s. He said he was a good driver when I asked. Now if I were to compare all the SI runs U would find that they R slower from what I have seen. But If u take the average of what I have seen I would have to say they R even in all respects except handling. Yes they R both 160 hp wich is why they R so close. The RX-7 just cant be taken for the amount of horsies it has... Remember , the bolt ons for a SI not only cost six times more but they give about 1/6 the power gains.. Look at it from that perspective. Your talknig about a car with THREE catalitic converters from the factory. Dont get your hopes down... I saw a SI with bolt ons run 9.9 all day.. Without forced induction the SI will not be competitive with our 7s BAY BEEEEEEEE..yeah.

Yellow Rx-7.. I agree with u on that one.. How did u know. Around 90 they seem to pic up .. like in third gear. I raced one when my VDI was closed with just a streight pipe axaust after stock manifold , cone intake, no sleeves and I flew by him crazy fast until I shifted too third he just stayed a few car back and we couldnt pull on eachother until high rpms in third i started pulling slightly and fourth I would start to pull about 1 car ever say 5 seconds guestimate. He was stock and my mods are listed....We raced again from a dead stop not in traffic but on a deserted street. We both took off with just barly chirping the tires. We both stayed even in first until about 4.5 thousand rpms and the funniest thing happend..( I started pulling on him hard) I LAUGH at VTEC from that day on...Suposivly that was his vtec shift. hehe

Von,
I've never heard any times on the Si, I only go by what I see people run. In fact I've actually ran an Si down the 1/4 and pulled a 15.7 on it myself(my frens car with intake). Si's do feel slower than 89-91 rx7, but I was just pondering to myself why I can pull better times with a car that feels slower than mine. BigWoogie brought to my attention that launching a FWD is different than launching a RWD, so now I have to go and practice alot like I did when I used to race FWD. But yeah my car still feels better than an Si.

right on, von. I busted a little black SI last night. We lined up on a perfect little stretch that had two lights a little more than a 1/4 mile each.
On the first one I pulled on him about a car length and had to let up when I almost pissed myself blowing right past a cop. Can you believe he didn't even notice there were two cars going about 80mph in a 35mph zone?! So we proceeded to the next light and with an awsome launch I striaght pulled on him at least 4 car lengths. Dude was so embarassed he turned off and got out of sight. I just hate that I wasted such a good launch on a Honda
