i can't figure out which model RX7 mine is

my 87 RX-7 is so confusing.... it has no decals, no emblems, or anything..... it has some features from the GXL and some from the RX-7 Sport Package version. Its a 2 seater with auto adjusting suspension, which is only suposed to be on the GXL's.... But thats the only thing from a GXL on it.... HELP PLEASE!!!!

Post the VIN, I'll put it into the EPC here at work and it should tell me...
if it doesn't then I'll just go online with Mazda and put the VIN in there, that will tell me everything the car came with from the factory and what model it is

Sure its an 87??? what is the production date or first 10 digits in the VIN.

Sounds like either way some one stripped, wrecked, or parted the car, and then re-assembled it to sell or someone modified the car.

If it does have the AAS there will be motors on the front shocks under the hood. If there are no motors then someone probably just put the AAS panel in there to replace a broken panel or add power mirrors.

See the 87 Sport didn't come with power mirrors, so again it could be that someone wanted power mirrors and added them (with the switch panel).

But all GXL models came with power windows... something that you say you don't have.
