I <3 s5 radio surround

Just put one in on my s4 88 GTU... damn that thing is nice! **** I know it's a replacement OEM part... but I think one of my biggest pet peeves in life is broken interior pieces. I waited like three weeks to get new demister vents from Mazda haha.

I think a really sharp looking interior just shows how much you care for your car, at least if you intend it to be a nice street vehicle rather than a beater or a track car. I think I'm going to replace my driver side floor mat next. I'll probably just get a replica from mazdatrix because I bet an embroidered one is impossible to find...

i have both, an s4 and an s5, ive got the s5 in right now. i would liek get a carbon fiber one but the only ones ive found are just solid carbon fiber, it would be hard as hell to get the hole for the vents and all the stock **** to fit in perfectly tho...

What makes S4 interior pieces so brittle anyway? i turned around to back out the other day and as soon as my hand touched the pass. side storage bin, the handle snapped into like five pieces. >_< its all good though, I found an S5 in the junkyard, mostly unmessed with.

actually the S5 one is just as brittle as the S4 version... The S5 is just covered with rubberized vinyl so you don't see when it cracks and breaks... it just starts ratteling and falling off the dash.

Angry

My dash was in PERFECT shape until some goons broke in and stole my stereo. I came outside to find a bunch of my stuff missing and my stereo surround on the passenger seat in 3 pieces.

I put mine in just last night. The car didnt have one when I got it because I bought the car from a shop that was preping it into a track car. I'll post some before/after pics.

It was an S4, but I think any dash would have done it, judging by the amount of screwdriver holes in my dash.

I've got the $400 Alpine HU (CDA-9855 I believe, it's been a long day)...I keep the face plate with me any time I leave the car...I also unplug my SAFCII, efectively killing any chance of moving my car more than three feet...

I was just about to post a question about this.... what a coincidence lol. I've got an S4 with a broken (in a few places) stereo surround. The S4 and S5 one's are interchangable? If so that's wicked cause the S5's look way better.... So they are interchangeable? If so, will I need a new ashtray or are they the same and what about the shift boot surround?

I think mine might have been the 55... I worked at Circuit City when I bought it, it was whatever the most expensive one was

I take the faceplate off normally too but this was IN THE GARAGE OF MY HOUSE when it got stolen.

I take mine off in the garage as well, I love my anti-theft device though!

I bought mine at Best Buy (I work at the Geek Squad) so it would was almost $200 cheaper than normal mark up!
