hub-centric or lug centric? mustang or rx7?

hub-centric or lug centric? mustang or rx7?
Ok i am mounting mustang rims on my 1990 gxl. Cobra R's to be exact. And in the rear i need a 1 inch spacer. So how do hubcentric spacers work? Will hubcentric mustang spacers also work on the rx7?
