Depends, are you building it to race or streetable? The main basics for big HP gains are intake and exhaust. Then you decide whether you want a bridge port, street port, peripheral, etc.

Probably shoulda thought this through before getting the rebuild...

If ya wanna port it you'll have to rip it all apart again. This is probably not something ya wanna do with your nice new engine.

Assuming the injectors are nice n' clean and everything's in good working order, you're lookin at an intake, exhaust, out with emissions, pineapple sleeves, ported intake, air-fuel controller... Maybe ~160 - 170 + rwhp? No expert, though.

The lsd and rear end will make ya quicker; the T2 drive train is stronger, but not faster.

Good luck with the car, have fun!

yeah actually the R-type T2 Tranny will make the car heavier as well. It is a good 20-25 lbs heavier than a M type tranny

NAWZ!!!!!!!

If you reenforce your rearend and tranny, you could run a wet nitrious kit. You can get up to a 125 shot safely on a n/a if you build the system right. Other than n2o or forced induction- tranny/rearend are unnessicary upgrades for a n/a.
Scathcart is the master of nitrious injection on rx7's if you wish to inquire.

Normally aspirated motor has yet to hit the magical 200hp to the wheels mark...

A turbo motor does that with just a full exhaust.
